<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To compress still image data used for inspection by significantly reducing the data volume, and to easily manage the compressed data. <P>SOLUTION: The still image data used for component mounting inspection is separated by each component, a plurality of pieces of image data related to one and the same component are converted into a single moving image data file and stored. In this case, any one of the pieces of the image data is allocated to a first frame, other pieces of the image data are allocated to each frame of the second and subsequent frames, and image data of each frame of the second and subsequent frames is converted into differential image data for the preceding frame.
