<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily change deletion days of a plurality of files without lowering operability. <P>SOLUTION: Although sub-boxes (user boxes) by users are created in three main boxes respectively, one main box is only selected according to what a user wants to do and then sub-boxes by users which are displayed are of only one kind whose use is limited. A file connection list of files in a specified user box in a custom box is sorted in the decreasing or increasing order of deletion schedule days, registration days, storage periods, or file sizes and the resulting document name list is displayed on a console panel 15. Automatic deletion schedule days of one or more files selected on the console panel 15 are changed based upon a specified value.
