PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a storage medium drive unit reducing wiring and terminals around a head slider. SOLUTION: First and second actuators 65 and 66 for exhibiting driving force to generate displacement of a head element are loaded on the head slider 31. Electric signals are supplied to first and second conductive terminals 72 and 73 from a control circuit 78. A first diode 75 defines the direction of a current in a first direction from the first conductive terminal 72 to the second conductive terminal 73. A second diode 77 defines the direction of a current in a second direction from the second conductive terminal 73 to the first conductive terminal 72. The current in the first direction is supplied to the first actuator 65. The current of the second direction is supplied to the second actuator 66. The wiring is partially shared in the control circuit 78 and the first and second actuators 65 and 66.
