PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information processor, capable of preventing operation failures by preventing a user from performing incorrect upgrade in upgrade of a control program. SOLUTION: A BE microcomputer 12 determines whether the current version of FE F/W (firmware) 111 is appropriate or not based on appropriate version information of an update file 110 shown in Fig. 2(A). When the current version of the FE F/W 11 is "30", for example, the BE microcomputer 12 determines that the current version of the F/W 111 is appropriate since the appropriate version for the F/W 111 is "30 or more" as shown in Fig. 2(A). When the current version of the F/W 111 is determined to be appropriate, the microcomputer 12 upgrades a BE F/W 112 stored in a flash ROM 20 with the update file 110. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
