PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a built-in type brushless rotation detector in which the rotor coil can be protected effectively from mechanical damage. SOLUTION: In the brushless rotation detector 10, a protective plate 12 for protecting a rotor coil 14 at the open end is provided as the main constituent. The protective plate 12 has the outside diameter substantially covering the outside diameter of the rotor coil 14. According to such an arrangement, unintended contact to the rotor coil 14 by the hand of a handling person from the open end side is prevented, and mechanical damages to the rotor coil 14 can be prevented.
