PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game machine which enables the enjoyment of a game different from the jackpot game in stead of merely making players grow their dissatisfaction even if the shift to the jackpot game may be prolonged too much. SOLUTION: The game machine is provided with the first playing area which is provided in a light-permeable area making the part behind it see through and includes a plurality of prize winning slots and a plurality of obstacle members, a game board which is disposed in a superposition on the part behind the first playing area while making game balls roll and includes more of the prize winning slots than the first playing area does, a guide path opening/closing means allowed to make the first playing area communicate with the second playing area and a probability alteration lottery means which carries out an alteration lottery to determine whether the alteration should be made to the low-probability state from the high-probability state when a variable display game is executed in the high-probability state. When the probability state is altered to the low-probability state from the high-probability state, the game balls are guided to the second playing area from the first playing area during a prescribed period after the alteration.
