Disclosed is a seed library which is characterized by being composed of seeds each having, introduced therein, a gene encoding a transcription inhibitory factor which is a fusion protein of a transcription factor and a functional peptide. Also disclosed are a screening method and a screening kit for the screening of a plant having a useful trait by utilizing the seed library. It becomes possible to obtain a plant having a useful trait in a simple manner.
