The system (1) has a medical device (3) i.e. X-ray-C-arm-device, for detecting an object in two dimensions by X-ray radiations, and memory devices (31, 32, 34) e.g. optical memory devices, with a data input effectively connected with the medical device. The data input is formed to receive the data at an input side and to characterize data mediums (36, 36') e.g. DVD disks, in such a manner that the data mediums represent the data readably. The system is designed to digitally transmit two-dimensional data sets (13, 15) from the medical device up to the memory devices. An independent claim is also included for a method for storing a two dimensional-data set or a temporal sequence of two dimensional-data sets.
