<p>A method and system for protecting various multicast trees in communication information broadcast field are provided. A method for protecting multicast tree includes: after a leaf node affected by the working tree fault has detected the working tree fault, the leaf node switches to the protection tree, and transmitting a switch request to the root node; when the root node has received the switch request, the root node bridges to the working tree and the protection tree. Another method for protecting multicast tree includes: a root node bridges to the working tree and the protection tree simultaneously, a leaf node receives data from a working tree, after a leaf node affected by the working tree fault has detected the working tree fault, the leaf node affected by the working tree fault switches to the protection tree. Another method for protecting multicast tree includes: a leaf node bridges to the working tree and the protection tree simultaneously, a leaf node affected by the working tree fault detects the working tree fault, and transmits a switch request to the root node; when the root node has received the switch request, the root node switches to the protection tree.</p> |
