<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gate circuit system for voltage-type self-excited converter achieving the same converter operation as a conventional art when a common gate signal means normally operates and never causes DC short circuit even if the common gate signal means abnormally operates. <P>SOLUTION: This voltage-type self-excited converter, which is equipped with a pair of an upper arm and a lower arm connected to one AC phase, each the arm being constituted by connecting a plurality of self turn-off elements 6 in series, has a means 4 which transmits a common gate signal to all of the above self turn-off elements, and different gate driving means 5U and 5X which give gate signals, based on the signals from the means of transmitting the above common signal, to each of the self turn-off elements constituting the above upper arm and lower arm, and where the above upper arm and lower arm perform opposite ON-OFF operations. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
