<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily provide an image with a large information quantity to be expressed by displaying different information when viewing the image from a different angle depending on the visual point position or light source position. <P>SOLUTION: The image generation device 1 generates an image 3 displayed on a medium 6 or an image displayed on a medium 8. The image 3 and the image 5 are composed of barcodes, which have anisotropic reflection parts 21 and 31 in a part or the whole thereof. The anisotropic reflection parts 21 and 31 vary the images depending on the light source position or visual point position.
