<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical translation device which translates a document by dividing the document into proper translation units. <P>SOLUTION: This device comprises a receiving part 101 for receiving input of a document of a first language including a start tag showing a start position of a section and an end tag showing an end point of the section; a division part 102 for dividing the received document into translation units; a first determination part 103 for determining whether the end tag is present at the head of a first unit contained in the divided units or not and whether the start tag is present at the tail of the first unit or not; a movement part 104 for moving, when the end tag is present at the head of the first unit, the end tag to the tail of a second unit that is a unit just before the first unit, and moving, when the start tag is present at the tail of the first unit, the start tag to the head of a third unit that is a unit just after the first unit; and a translation part 109 for translating the first unit, the second unit and the third unit in a second language. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
