<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display medium capable of suppressing a decrease in light and shade difference in writing to the display medium with exposure light, a writing device, and a writing method. <P>SOLUTION: The display medium includes at least a pair of electrodes, a photoconducting layer provided between the pair of electrodes and showing an electric characteristic distribution corresponding to an intensity distribution of the exposure light when irradiated with the exposure light in a predetermined wavelength range in the presence of an electric field produced with a voltage applied between the pair of electrodes, a display layer applied with a partial voltage distributed according to the electric characteristic distribution of the photoconducting layer with the voltage applied between the pair of electrodes to display an image by an optical characteristic distribution according to the partial voltage, and a light shield layer provided upstream of the photoconducting layer in the irradiation direction of the exposure light and transmitting light in the wavelength range of the exposure light. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
