<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make transition time to an energy saving mode automatically variable according to a used state of an equipment. <P>SOLUTION: A calculating part 3 calculates the number of times of printing instructions made during a prescribed transit period after transition to the energy saving mode. A judgement part 5 judges whether the number of times of printing instructions during a prescribed set period exceeds a reference value. A compensation part 7 carries out positive compensation for the transit period to the energy saving mode when the number of times of printing instructions exceeds the reference value and carries out negative compensation for the transit period to the energy saving mode when the number of times of printing instructions is below the reference value. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
