PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To constitute a semiconductor laser device so as to be manufactured flexibly with respect to the wavelength of a laser beam formed by the device. SOLUTION: The semiconductor laser device includes at least one surface emitting type vertical light emitting body (1) which is optically pumped, and at least one pumping beam source (2) which is monolithically integrated. The vertical light emitting material (1) includes at least one beam forming vertical light emitting zone (5). The pumping beam source (2) is so constituted as to emit a pumping beam in a main beam direction. In the semiconductor laser device, where the main beam direction is extended laterally to the main beam direction of the vertical beam of the vertical light emitting body (1), the at least one vertical light emitting body (1) has at least one layer containing an organic material.
