PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of securing a stable image by removing soiling of a scorotron discharge device by a cleaning device. SOLUTION: By making the free length of a flexible member that is a cleaning member longer than a distance from the base thereof to the surface of an image carrier and moving the flexible member, the front and back sides of a grid electrode are cleaned.
