PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation detecting apparatus capable of absorbing thermal expansion differences, preventing sensor parts from being damaged even when vibrations have acted, preventing excess tensile forces from being exerted on peripheral parts when sensors are assembled and at other times, and reducing production costs and excellent in water tightness and durability and also to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The rotation detecting apparatus is provided with a sensor 4; peripheral parts; and a cable clamp 25 made of metal for gripping a cable 4 and formed by integrally molding the sensor 4; the peripheral parts; and the cable clamp 25 in a state covered with a thermoplastic elastomer or a material exhibiting rubber elasticity.
