摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a movement control method automatically generating an appropriate moving route, and a mobile robot and a movement control program. SOLUTION: The movement control method for the mobile robot comprises a person detection step of detecting an arbitrary person to be followed; a surroundings detection step of detecting a surroundings of the mobile robot during movement in the following step; a destination specification step of specifying, when a surroundings satisfying a predetermined destination condition is detected in the surroundings detection step, the position concerned as a destination; and a moving route formation step of forming a moving route for moving the mobile robot, which includes the destination, based on a movable route retained by a movable route retention means and the destination specified in the destination specification step.
