PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal device capable of heating liquid crystal without raising the cost or increasing the size. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal device 100, adopting an IPS system, has various thin film transistors formed on the element substrate 10 and also has pixel electrodes 9a and counter electrodes 9b as common electrodes formed.
