PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make both compatible in maintaining the thermal insulation effect and improving production efficiency, when thermally insulating a hose passage, by installing a hose protector in a hose. SOLUTION: This thermal insulation hose 10 is provided by installing the hose protector 20 on the outer periphery of the hose 12. The hose protector 20 has a three-layer structure, and fills up a foaming layer 23 between a hose side solid layer 21 and a skin layer 22. These hose side solid layer 21, skin layer 22 and foaming layer 23 are formed of an elastic EPDM material, and are formed by a multicolored extrusion molding technique. The hose side solid layer 21 functions as an inner peripheral side skin layer of the hose protector, and has a plurality of projecting projection strips in the longitudinal direction on its inner peripheral side. The foaming layer 23 is formed of EPDM sponge, and exhibits elasticity, and also exhibits the thermal insulation effect to the hose passage of the hose 12. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
