PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a buckling gate bar device which minimizes a projection around an intermediate portion of a gate bar that is to be buckled, does not form a space that may pinch a hand at the time of opening and closing the gate bar, and achieves safe use for a vehicle, a passenger, etc. SOLUTION: A tip side 20 is serially connected to the tip of a proximal bar 10 that is operated for opening and closing by an opening/closing machine 1 via a joint interlocking means 30 or 80, and when the opening/closing machine 1 operates the proximal bar 10, the tip side bar 20 is buckled to be operated for opening and closing while maintaining a horizontal state. Then a proximal holder 12 connecting the proximal bar 10 and the tip side bar 20 to each other has a longitudinally dividing groove 12H formed therein in which the joint interlocking means 30 or 80 is stored.
