A wireless communication system includes a terminal station and a plurality of base stations. The terminal station includes a received power measuring unit that measures a power of radio signals transmitted from the base stations, and a combined signal selector that selects a combined signal used for diversity combining, an interference signal suppression controller that generates a transmission power suppress command based on a received power difference between the combined signal and an interference signal not having been selected as the combined signal, and a transmission processor that outputs the command to the base stations.
