This invention provides a nickel-rhenium alloy powder suitable particular ly for the formation of an internal electrode layer for a stacked ceramic el ectronic component. The nickel-rhenium alloy powder is characterized by comp rising nickel as a main component and further comprising 0.1 to 10% by weigh t of rhenium and 50 to 10,000 ppm, in terms of silicon atom, of silicon. The powder, optionally together with other additive(s), is homogeneously mixed and dispersed in an organic vehicle to prepare a conductor paste. The use of the nickel-rhenium alloy powder particularly for the formation of an intern al electrode for a stacked ceramic electronic component is advantageous in t hat, even in a very fine powder, the start and progress of sintering in a si ntering step are slow, and, thus, the sintering shrink behavior of the elect rode layer can be rendered similar to the sintering shrink behavior of the c eramic layer. Further, spheroidizing of the electrode attributable to oversi ntering does not take place. Therefore, an internal electrode, which is thin ner and denser and has excellent continuity, can be provided.
|
