<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a measurement range to be set simply in a unit of a laser scanner, without the need for any external control system such as a personal computer and the like, in order to make a measurement operation efficient. <P>SOLUTION: The laser scanner comprises: a mirror 35 rotatably provided; a driving unit for rotating the mirror; a distance measuring section 4 for scanning distance measuring light 37 through a measurement area via the mirror and for obtaining position data by receiving reflected distance measuring light; a measuring direction observing means 46 for indicating a projecting direction of the distance measuring light; and an operation section for setting the measurement range by designating at least two measuring directions based on the result of observation of the measuring direction obtained by the measuring direction observing means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
