BACK COVER, BACKLIGHT ASSEMBLY PROVIDED WITH THE SAME, AND DISPLAY

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a backlight assembly which can house an enough number of wirings for light emitting diodes compactly and can exhaust efficiently heat from the light-emitting diodes.

SOLUTION: The back cover has a cover member containing a metal layer. A bottom part and a side part of the cover member is connected in an L shape. Wiring parts are preferably formed in a whole of an inner surface of the L shape and are connected with a plurality of point light sources mounted on the same inner surface. Each of the point light sources receives a driving power through the wiring part. The bottom part of the cover member closes an opening part formed on a housing unit and the side part of the cover member is arranged to face a side wall of the housing unit. The point light sources are arranged alongside the side surface of a light guide plate and emit light toward the side surface.
