<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow adsorption performance of corn cobs to sufficiently manifest itself by increasing the specific surface area thereof by firing them so that a porous state thereof can be held as much as possible, and to improve versatility by equalizing the size of the corn cobs so that it is easy to apply them to various applications. <P>SOLUTION: This method for producing carbonized product comprises a fragmentation step (1) of fragmenting corn cobs C to a predetermined granular shape to thereby produce corn cob C granules, a separation step (2) of separating the granules fragmented in the fragmentation step into a plurality of groups S1, S2, and S3 of granules which have different ranges of the size thereof, and a carbonization step (3) of firing the granules of at least any one group S1, S2, or S3 from the plurality of groups S1, S2, and S3 separated in the separation step at a temperature of 1,000°C or below while holding the shape of the granules to thereby carbonize them. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
