<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a card connector capable of safely shutting down a card within a period from the time at which an apparatus detects extraction of the card to the time at which a contact pad of the card is separated from a contact of a connector. <P>SOLUTION: This card connector 10 includes contacts 40 each used for electrically connecting/disconnecting the contact pad 4 of the card 1 to/from a board with insertion/extraction of the card 1 on a card insertion opening side relative to the contact pad 4 of the card 1 when mounted to a housing 12 to extend a period from a time at which the extraction of the card 1 is detected to a time at which the contact pad 2 of the card 1 is disconnected from the board as compared with a conventional connector, and keeping the connection from the time of the connection to the time of the disconnection. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
