PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an armature that has a high withstand voltage and is usable over a long period of time, and to provide an armature manufacturing method, a coreless motor, and a brushless generator. SOLUTION: The armature 6 is provided with a cylindrical coil body 7 and a wheel 8, whose outer peripheral face is fixed onto the inner peripheral face of the coil body and the outer peripheral face of the wheel 8 is formed with a wire layer 33, which is formed by winding a linear insulating material 31 around the outer peripheral face so as to cover the outer peripheral face; and an adhesive layer 37 that is formed by covering the outer-peripheral side of the wire layer 33 with an insulating adhesive 35. After the coil body 7 is arranged on the outer periphery of the wheel 8, an adhesive 39 that is the same type as that of the insulating adhesive 35 of the wheel 8 is applied to the outer peripheral face of the coil body 7 so as to manufacture the armature.
