PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synchronous rectification type switching regulator of voltage rising/falling type which triggers output voltage even if an overcurrent is generated, without making an overcurrent detecting level higher than a required level, and to provide a control circuit of the synchronous rectification type switching regulator, and an operation control method of the synchronous rectification type switching regulator. SOLUTION: The synchronous rectification type switching regulator, its control circuit and its operation control method are constituted so that when the overcurrent is detected, a switching transistor M1 for voltage falling and a switching transistor M3 for voltage rising may be turned off, respectively, and a synchronous rectification transistor M2 for voltage falling and a synchronous rectification transistor M4 for voltage rising may be turned on, respectively, at voltage falling operation, while the synchronous rectification transistor M2 for voltage falling and the switching transistor M3 for voltage rising may be turned off, respectively, and the switching transistor M1 for voltage falling and the synchronous rectification transistor M4 for voltage rising may be turned on, respectively, at voltage rising operation, according to an output signal VOLV of a judging circuit 8.
