PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a timepiece with a chiming mechanism capable of preventing a gong from contacting with a component in the vicinity thereof. SOLUTION: A gong wire 22 forms a wound coil in the periphery of a movement, and the first end part is fixed onto a bottom part plate 20 via the first gong wire mounting part 24 fixed onto the bottom part plate 20. The second end part of the gong wire 22 is also fixed onto the bottom part plate 20 via the second gong wire mounting part 26 fixed onto the bottom part plate 20 by the same manner as in the first end part.
