摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an emission spectrophotometry and an emission spectrophotometer, which analyzes precisely a molten metal component even when an emission phenomenon is unstable by electric discharge to a molten metal surface. SOLUTION: The emission spectrophotometry/spectrophotometer is provided with a light emitting cylinder 1 with a lower part immersed into molten metal M, the light emitting cylinder 1 is arranged with: an electrode 3 for generating the electric discharge to the molten metal surface in a cylindrical body 2; and a plurality of optical fibers 4 (4A, 4B) for collecting an excitation light due to the electric discharge, and is also arranged with a slug removing member 10 turned around a rotary rod 13 as the center, in a lower end of the light emitting cylinder 1. The light emitting cylinder 1 is immersed into the molten metal M by a prescribed depth from the surface of the molten metal M while removing the slug by the slug removing member 10, spark discharge is generated between the electrode 3 and the surface of the molten metal M after bringing an inside of the light emitting cylinder 1 into an inert gas atmosphere, and the excitation light thereof is transmitted to a corresponding spectrometer by each optical fiber 4.
