PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a work positioning apparatus in a press brake, by which bending work is conducted without damaging a punch. SOLUTION: A side gage 10 is provided with a gage body part 11 and a positioning member 13 for positioning a work W. A magnet 15 is embedded in the front edge face 112 of the gage body part 11, and the front edge face 112 is adsorbed and attached to the rear face side of a die 6. On the die 6, a pair of punch insertion grooves 61, 62 are formed in a forward/backward direction. The die 6 is mounted below a punch 4, which is attached to a punch holder 3, in such a way that the punch 4 is positioned opposing to the punch insertion groove 61, one of the punch grooves. The front edge part of the positioning member 13 is moved to the position not exceeding the line drawn from the punch 4 to the punch insertion groove 61, and bending of the work W is conducted.
