<p>This support system is particularly suited for the manufacture of metal reinforcements, in particular reinforcements for concrete which consist of longitudinal continuous bars assembled by transverse frames. According to the invention, this system comprises: at least two first parallel support arms (3) arranged in the same horizontal plane, which first arms (3) are mounted on a carrying structure (2) so as to jut out therefrom, and are associated with controllable means (5, 6, 7, 8) which allow their simultaneous vertical movement, parallel to themselves, so as to constitute a first vertically moveable horizontal support plane (3') for at least some of said longitudinal continuous bars; and at least two second parallel support arms (4) arranged in the same horizontal plane, which second arms (4) are mounted on said carrying structure (2) so as to jut out therefrom, and extend parallel to said first support arms (3) so as to constitute a second horizontal support plane (4') for at least some of said longitudinal continuous bars, said first (3') and second (4') support planes being at least partially superposed. Such a system allows the operator to always weld virtually at the same chosen height; it relieves the work of the welders and optimizes the assembly of the various elements of the reinforcement.</p> |
