<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cylinder device having a longer durable life while allowing the plurality of cylinder devices to be freely arranged in parallel in a wholly compact form. <P>SOLUTION: The cylinder device 1 comprises a rod portion 4 inserted to be reciprocative into a cylinder tube 2 and protruded from the cylinder tube 2, and a magnetic spring mechanism 9 for reducing a load on the rod portion 4 in the axial direction. The magnetic spring mechanism 9, a piston portion 3 and the rod portion 4 are arranged coaxially with one another. The piston portion 3 is moved to pull the rod portion 4 into the cylinder tube 2 when pneumatic pressure operates thereon. The magnetic spring mechanism 9 energizes the rod portion 4 to be protruded from the cylinder tube 2 against the pneumatic pressure on the piston portion 3. A seal block 20 of the piston portion 3 is formed of porous carbon as a porous material to seal a gap between a normal pressure chamber 10 and a pressure operating chamber 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
