PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tray for printing and a printer which can prevent a smudge made by an ink from adhering to an optical disk even when the ink is ejected to the outside of the printable area. SOLUTION: The tray for printing 1 which is installed in an inkjet printer 2 and holds the optical disk 100 which is a medium to be printed and conveys the disk to a predetermined printing position comprises: a tray body 11 where the optical disk is placed; and an ink absorber 7 which is installed in the tray body 11 and absorbs the ink ejected outside the printable area 105 of the optical disk 100 placed in the tray body 11.
