DISPLAY APPARATUS, INPUT APPARATUS, INPUT METHOD AND LIGHT RECEIVING CIRCUIT

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to input a user's instruction by light emitted from an instruction part in a display apparatus such as a liquid crystal display.

SOLUTION: When light is made incident on a light receiving circuit including a photoelectric conversion element, a current corresponding to received light quantity is allowed to flow in the photoelectric conversion element and electric charges accumulated in a capacitor are discharged or accumulated. A voltage between both ends of the capacitor is converted into a logic level, a high level or a low level, by a logic level output circuit and the converted voltage is output from the light receiving circuit. These light receiving circuits are arranged on a screen like a matrix and the incident position of light emitted from an instruction part is detected on the basis of the logic level output from each light receiving circuit.
