FLUORESCENT LAMP AND LIGHTING FITTING

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fluorescent lamp and a lighting fitting having the fluorescent lamp mounted thereon, improved in the qualities such as a luminous flux factor and the appearance by increasing the thickness of a protective film and preventing peeling off of a light reflective film. SOLUTION: This fluorescent lamp comprises: a gas-tightly sealed tubular glass bulb 1 bent into an annulus to become thinner from one end thereof toward the other end thereof; an electrode forming means 23 for generating electric discharge in the glass bulb 1; an electric discharge medium sealed in the glass bulb 1; a protective film 3 formed on an inner surface of the glass bulb 1 and relatively thicker at the one end of the glass bulb 1 than at the other end; an light reflective film 4 formed on the protective film 3 at a predetermined position and relatively thicker at the one end of the glass bulb 1 than at the other end; and a phosphor film 6 formed inside the light reflective film 4 and relatively thicker at the other end of the glass bulb 1 than at the one end.
