PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dielectric barrier discharge lamp which can be manufactured easily and has an excellent light emitting intensity and mitigates largely degradation of the light emitting strength due to a lapse of time. SOLUTION: The dielectric barrier discharge lamp is composed of a lamp body, a first electrode, a second electrode, and a discharge gas. The first electrode contains an outer tube and an inner tube and the inner tube is arranged inside the outer tube and is connected with the outer tube. The first electrode is arranged on an upper surface of the outer tube. The second electrode is arranged on an inner surface of the inner tube. The second electrode and the first electrode are insulated electrically and moreover the second electrode has an approximately cylindrical shape. Furthermore, the second electrode has an electrode part and an elastic part. The electrode part is arranged close to the inner surface of the inner tube. The elastic part is connected with the electrode part and wound into the electrode part and made to contact tight with the inner surface of the electrode part. A discharge gas is filled in the lamp body, which is arranged between the first electrode and the second electrode. The second electrode can be manufactured and assembled easily and give a high light emitting intensity to the dielectric barrier discharge lamp. COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT
