<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an instrument and a method for measuring easily chlorine dioxide, in particular, for measuring easily the chlorine dioxide together with oxygen and chlorine, and to easily decompose the chlorine dioxide therein. <P>SOLUTION: A gas sample to be tested is exposed at first to a reagent to remove chlorine, then is exposed an indicator or an electrochemical cell for measuring the chlorine dioxide qualitatively and/or quantitatively, and sometimes the reagent for removing the chlorine is cyclohexyl sulfamic acid and/or a salt thereof, or contains the cyclohexyl sulfamic acid and/or a salt thereof, in case of a device allowing a through flow of the gas sample for detecting the chlorine dioxide under the presence of the chlorine. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
