<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wireless LAN client in which wireless setting is performed automatically between a wireless LAN access point and the wireless LAN client and a fault in data reception, e.g., a fault in installation of a wireless LAN access point and a wireless LAN client, can be informed. <P>SOLUTION: When connection of a USB memory including a wireless information setting program is detected, a wireless client acquires wireless setting information set at a wireless LAN access point based on a program and sets that information in itself and stores the wireless setting information in the USB memory.
