<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a reset timing from being included within a charge accumulation term when changing a read starting line. <P>SOLUTION: An imaging apparatus includes as a constituent a pixel 201 which includes a PD 301 and a reset means for resetting the PD 301, and further includes driving means (202 and the like) for resetting signal charges accumulated in the PD 301 sequentially at an interval of predetermined lines and reading a signal based on signal charges sequentially at an interval of predetermined lines. Moreover, the imaging apparatus is equipped with a CPU 105 which has a first mode during which the read starting line of the pixel 201 is fixed, and a second mode during which the read starting line of the pixel 201 is made variable based on input control information, and changes the reset timing of the pixel 201 for the read starting line in the second mode so that a second charge accumulation term T2 per line in the second mode becomes shorter than or equal to a first charge accumulation term T1 in the first mode. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
