PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a magnetic particle which is less in the non-specific adsorption of proteins, nucleic acids, and the like, and especially exhibits prominent high sensitivity and low noises in the fields of biochemistry and medicines, to provide a method for producing the same, and to provide a probe-bound particle. SOLUTION: This method for producing the magnetic particle comprises a first process for disposing non-magnetic particles each having a particle diameter of≤d/2 on the surface of a magnetic mother particle having a particle diameter of d, a second process for forming the first polymer layer having glycidyl groups to cover the magnetic mother particle and the non-magnetic particles, and a third process for introducing polar groups each containing at least one kind of one or more atoms selected from the group consisting of O, N and S atoms into the first polymer layer.
