FEED ADDITIVE FOR BROILER FEEDING MUD FLAT BACTERIA ORIGIN PROTEASE AS EFFECTIVE INGREDIENT

A broiler feed additive containing bristle worms-derived protease as an active ingredient is provided to improve the rate of weight gain, the feed requirement rate, digestibility and total protein availability when fed to broilers. A broiler feed additive contains a protease with the number of microorganisms(1.0x10^8 CFU/g) secreting protease isolated from bristle worms. In the process for manufacturing broiler feed, 0.1% by weight of the protease is added. For an example, bristle worms are finely cut, mixing with 20mm sodium phosphate buffer, stirred for 16hr and centrifuged at 10,000rpm for 30min. The supernatant is heated at 40deg.C for 10min and centrifuged at 10,000rpm for 30min to give a crude enzyme solution of bristle worms. The crude enzyme solution is treated with ammonium sulfate, centrifuged and then subjected to continued fraction treatment to give bristle worms-derived protease. Then 0.1% by weight of the bristle worms-derived protease is added to feed.
