FIELD: welding processes and equipment, namely apparatuses for butt welding of heated square cross-section blanks at continuous rolling process. ^ SUBSTANCE: machine includes movable car to which stationary housing is secured, movable housing mounted on guides of stationary housing, two mutually normal apparatuses for removing fins, two upsetting hydraulic cylinders for moving movable housing, devices for clamping blank ends, electric current supply electrodes, welding transformers and car. Clamping devices are arranged in movable and stationary housings and they are in the form of symmetrical systems of double-arm levers. Electrodes are mounted on ends of double-arm levers turned to blanks and they have recesses respectively for embracing blanks along perimeter and for forming clamping effort along diagonal of square cross section of blanks. Welding transformers are secured to stationary housing and they are joined with electric current supply electrodes. Car is mounted on stationary housing and it is joined with movable housing. Each clamping device is provided with guides and with slides arranged in guides of clamping devices and it is jointly coupled with other ends of double-arm levers. ^ EFFECT: improved quality of welding due to providing matching of symmetry axes of welded blanks, lowered wear degree of guides of movable housing, enhanced dynamics characteristics of machine. ^ 2 dwg |
