<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color filter which is used in an MVA mode liquid crystal display device, brings about no color drift, and has high contrast between a black display section and a white display section. <P>SOLUTION: The color filter has: a transparent substrate; red, green, and blue coloring layers formed on the transparent substrate; a transparent electrode layer formed on the coloring layers; and light shielding protrusions for controlling liquid crystal alignment formed on regions corresponding to the coloring layers of the respective colors on the transparent electrode layer with tapered shapes, wherein the color filter is characterized in that two or more kinds of the light shielding protrusions for controlling liquid crystal alignment with mutually different taper angles on end portions are formed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
