<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for efficiently manufacturing propylene by causing a raw material gas, containing a 4C or higher olefin and methanol and/or dimethyl ether, to be brought into contact with a catalyst. <P>SOLUTION: A catalyst comprising zeolite having a cage type structure is used as a catalytic active component. Preferably, a catalyst comprising zeolite having a structure represented by a code, prescribed by the International Zeolite Association (IZA), CHA, DDR, EAB, ERI, FAU, LEV, OFF or MWW, more preferably MWW, is used as the zeolite catalyst having the cage type structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
