PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a bench with storage space which prevents articles such as disaster prevention relating goods from theft in normal time and allows unspecified people to take out the disaster prevention relating goods when disaster happens. SOLUTION: The bench 1 includes a base box 2 which has side faces formed of wooden side plates 41 or the like, a storage space 3 for storing articles inside, and a seat face part 50 mounted on the upper part of the base box 2. The base box 2 includes an article storage port 4a which is opened/closed by a hidden lock 611 or the like upon storing articles. The side plate part 41 has a recessed part 71 on the storage space 3 side for reducing the thickness compared to the whole thickness. The side plate part 41 is easily broken by the recessed part 71.
