PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce weight, and to increase efficiency in assembling man-hours, while restraining processing cost, by minimizing the number of part items, by simplifying a shape and a structure inside of an intermediate shaft and an outside joint member, without generating an abnormal sound and vibration, and without reducing durability. SOLUTION: This driving shaft for an automobile is composed of two sliding type constant velocity universal joints J1 and J2 attached with boots 14 and the intermediate shaft 10 connecting the two sliding type constant velocity universal joints J1 and J2. When equipped in a vehicle, internal pressure of a space 28 sealed by the outside joint member 20 of the sliding type constant velocity universal joints J1 and J2 and the boots 14 installed on its joints, is set so as to become higher than outside atmospheric pressure.
