METHOD AND DEVICE FOR STARTING AND STOPPING GAS TURBINE

A method and device for starting and stopping a gas turbine, which enable stable ignition of fuel gas by eliminating inconvenience that the fuel gas does not ignite normally due to purge gas (nitrogen gas) remaining in fuel gas piping. To start the gas turbine, a start/stop control device sequentially performs the following purges: a first exhaust gas duct purge for pushing out fuel gas remaining in an exhaust gas duct by compressed air from a compressor; a fuel gas piping purge for opening a fuel gas shutoff valve and pushing out, by fuel gas, nitrogen gas remaining in the fuel gas piping between the fuel gas shutoff valve and a combustor when the gas turbine is stopped; and a second exhaust gas duct purge for pushing out, by compressed air from the compressor, fuel gas remaining in the exhaust gas duct during the fuel gas piping purge. After that, the start/stop control device opens the fuel gas shutoff valve again and controls so that fuel gas is supplied to the combustor and ignited.
