A side view mirror device for a vehicle is provided to improve quality and a commercial value of a product by preventing gears from being erroneously engaged with each other. A side view mirror device for a vehicle comprises a mirror assembly(2), which is attached to a vehicle door through an electromotive storage unit(3) and a base(4) fixed to the vehicle door. The mirror assembly includes a mirror housing(5), a fixing bracket(6), a power unit(7), and a mirror(8). The fixing bracket is installed in the mirror housing and the power unit is attached to the fixing bracket. The mirror is attached to the power unit such that the mirror is bent in longitudinal and transverse direction. The electromotive storage unit includes a shaft holder, a shaft(10), a gear case, a cover, a motor, a reduction unit, a clutch unit, a plate and a fixing plate.
